Read Design, See the World! Ming Chuan Commercial Design’s Chen Kuo Yi-Yen Holds Solo Poster Exhibition in Poland, Stepping onto the International Design Stage

Goyen Chen, Assistant Professor of the Department of Commercial Design at Ming Chuan University, won the Grand Prize at the 15th PLASTER International Graphic Design Festival in Poland, becoming the first Taiwanese designer to win the award. He was also invited to hold a solo poster exhibition at the CSW Toruń Center for Contemporary Art in Poland, showcasing the energy and influence of Taiwanese design on the international stage.
This exhibition features representative poster works by Chen over the years, focusing on contemporary issues such as visual communication, semiotics, and artificial intelligence (AI). Through highly condensed visual language and symbolic translation, he presents his unique design perspectives and interdisciplinary thinking. During the exhibition, Professor Chen also participated as an international judge in the 17th PLASTER International Competition and engaged in academic exchanges with several European design scholars.
In addition to the exhibition, Chen was also invited to lead a graphic design workshop on the theme “Symbol + Symbol = Creativity,” guiding Polish design students in creative practice and demonstrating Ming Chuan University’s professional strength and global vision in international design education.
