The winners of the A+ Cultural Heritage Creative Award have been announced, with the Department of Commercial Design at Ming Chuan University standing out. Student works, drawing inspiration from local Taiwanese landmarks, forest memories, and folk rituals, reinterpret cultural heritage using the design language of the younger generation, ensuring that culture is not merely preserved but also rediscovered, understood, and felt.
\nAmong the winning entries, “WHAT THE SIGHT!” by Wang Chia-Yun, Hu Chien-Yu, Chen Ming-Hsuan, and Ho Yu-Jung won the Gold Award in the “Cultural Heritage Digital Media Design Category \u2013 Student Group,” under the guidance of teachers Wang Chiung-Fen and Cho Chan-Cheng; “reForest” by Luo Ying-Han, Huang Hui-Wen, Lin Hui-Yi, and Fan Chiang Dan-Chen won an Honorable Mention in the “Cultural Heritage Visual Communication Design Category \u2013 Student Group,” under the guidance of teachers Su Wen-Hsiang and Feng Cheng-Chih; and “Paper Sacrifice” by Tseng Hui-Fang, Chung Pei-Yun, Chung Chun-Wen, and Shih Pei-Yu won an Honorable Mention in the “Cultural Heritage Visual Communication Design Category \u2013 Student Group,” under the guidance of teachers Wang Chun-Po and Lin Chien-Hua.
\nAll three works delve into familiar yet easily overlooked cultural scenes in Taiwanese life, transforming them through design to offer new ways of viewing and showcasing the students of Ming Chuan University’s Department of Commercial Design’s keen observation of culture, land, and daily experiences. It is worth mentioning that teachers Wang Chiung-Fen and Cho Chan-Cheng also received the “Cultural Heritage Digital Media Design Category – Annual Instructor Award,” further recognizing the achievements of Ming Chuan University’s Department of Commercial Design faculty and students this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
