Assistant Professor Chen, GoYen<\/strong>\u00a0from the Department of Commercial Design at Ming Chuan University<\/span><\/span> has recently achieved remarkable success in several major international design competitions, demonstrating exceptional creative productivity and professional academic excellence.<\/p>\n

Professor Chen first received the Silver Award<\/strong> at the international marine arts event, International Ocean Art Festival<\/span><\/span> (IOAF) \u2014 also known as the Conch Awards<\/strong> \u2014 with the environmentally conscious work Building Tomorrow’s Eco Dream<\/em>, which highlights themes of ecological sustainability.<\/p>\n

Soon after, he achieved another major milestone at the International Original Design Awards<\/span><\/span> (IODA) 2025 Professional Category, where he won Gold, Bronze, and Excellence Awards<\/strong> in a single competition. Among these works, the Gold Award\u2013winning piece Aesthetic Waste<\/em><\/strong> also received an Excellence Award<\/strong> at the KTK Chiantai Design Award<\/span><\/span>, a prestigious competition founded by renowned design master Kan Tai\u2011keung<\/span><\/span> and widely regarded as one of the most academically respected platforms in the Chinese design community.<\/p>\n

These competitions are known for their extremely selective acceptance rates and rigorous international judging standards<\/strong>. The IOAF gathers creative perspectives on global marine ecology, while the KTK Chiantai Design Award serves as a highly competitive professional benchmark for emerging Chinese designers. Professor Chen\u2019s ability to stand out among professional designers and faculty\u2013student teams from leading institutions around the world demonstrates that his visual communication works have reached world-class standards in cultural interpretation, social advocacy, and aesthetic innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
